I’m guessing that the one on the right is Aphrodite/Venus.
I’ve always wondered how did Nikolai survive this? Was it because he was in the eye of the storm or did Those Who Came Before intervene to save him? And if that’s the case then why?

I still can’t figure out how he did it, he probably is a descendant of the first civilization as you said…but i think there’s other reason…probably as he was holding the staff, he got some kind of protection there

I believe how he survives relates to why he can see TWCB on that page, but nothing definate. Of course not every assassin of the correct lineage develops their skills as far as Desmond so while Nikolai doesn’t seem to have Eagle Vision, he may still have some level of the instinct/6th sense.

My guess was that the energy got transferred inside Nikolai himself and then burst out, sparing him (sorta) since he became what emitted the energy. Left him K.O., but didn’t kill him the way it would have if he was simply in the way of the outburst like everything else there.
And yes on it all being linked to the first CIV.
